Customers are unable to login minus the 3 digit number on the trunk of card so I called back to check my transfer status.
Second representative assured me that the transfer was schedule to be sent on 3/27 and really should post by 3/30.
On 3/28 I received a call from Citi fraud department asking easily authorized a $3090 charge (this is correct for transfer+fee), I said yes and third representative stated she’d take the hold off of my account.
Today is 4/5 and although I received the “lost” and deactivated card I’ve not received the replacement card.
The transfer continues to be listed as “pending” but I received an email today stating they are unable to process the transfer because it would put me over my limit (it would not).
Called customer service again and the representative says that the charge “may have triggered a fraud protection alert” and told me I will need to await my account to be credited before I could reapply for a balance transfer.
