What countries honor Global Entry

Additional Card Members on Consumer and Business Platinum and Centurion accounts also receive the benefit when the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee is charged to their eligible Card. Many frequent travelers sign up for all three programs (using the two-for-one deal for Global Entry and PreCheck) for the easiest transitions through airports. Canadian citizens have their own Trusted Traveler program called NEXUS, which offers Global Entry benefits in addition to priority access when entering Canada. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) that allows low-risk travelers from specific countries to participate in expedited entry into the United States. The TSA PreCheck application process is administered by a third-party vendor, IDEMIA, at many centers across the country, including airports, local government offices, various storefronts and Staples office supply stores. Members can use Global Entry kiosks at ports of entry in the U.S. and at select U.S. pre-clearance locations around the world. U.S. pre-clearance locations at international airports allow travelers to the U.S. to clear immigration and customs prior to departure instead of on arrival  to the U.S. The program provides expedited immigration screening upon entering the U.S., via air, land or sea.

However, you should keep in mind that your Global Entry status only applies to you individually. If a family wants to use the Global Entry gates at an airport, every member present needs to have their own Global Entry approval. Technically, even babies and toddlers should be part of the Global Entry program as there is no upper or lower age limit for travelers who wish to be a part of it. However, citizens under the age of 18 must have their parents’ permission, and the application needs to be processed by an adult. If you are a Global Entry member, you can apply for the Netherlands’ expedited immigration program, Privium. You receive the statement credit after you submit and pay for an application, and it can take a few weeks to see the cost credited to your account. Does Global Entry Include Tsa Precheck?

With Global Entry, you’ll have dedicated booths at airports that allow you to breeze straight through and be on your way. It also enables travelers to get expedited entry benefits to other countries outside of the U.S. In response to this law, on February 6, 2020, the Department of Homeland Security announced that it would immediately prohibit New York state residents from applying for or renewing trusted traveler programs including Global Entry.

Many travel credit cards cover up to $100 in application fees for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck, so cardholders can apply to either program and have the application fee reimbursed with the right card. Reimbursements for NEXUS are less common, but still included on several popular cards. Note that reimbursements are typically limited to once every four or five years, depending on the card. When you apply, you should keep in mind that the $100 application fee will not be reimbursed if your application is denied for any reason. Therefore, if you suspect that you may fail the background check or interview due to a previous conviction or suspicious travel history, it may not be worth it to spend the money. However, since a few credit cards offer to waive the processing fee for Global Entry, you may still want to take the risk and see whether you pass.

When traveling by air, NEXUS members may use NEXUS kiosks in eight Canadian airports for faster entry into Canada, in addition to Global Entry kiosks in the U.S. and U.S. pre-clearance facilities for U.S. entry.
